About Chapel Hill Kindergarten

At Chapel Hill Kindergarten we value holistic development which enables children to reach their full potential emotionally, physically, spiritually and intellectually.  By providing a nurturing, safe environment children feel free to explore the world around them.  We are a community focused kindergarten and as such we believe that our community involvement and service is important in establishing good relationships with our families/whānau.

We are licensed for forty children.  We have three session options each day, one in the morning from 8.30am-12:00pm and another in the afternoon from 1:00pm-3:30pm or an all day session which is 8:30am-2:30pm with an optional extended finish time up until 4:00pm.

Our Philosophy

Chapel Hill Kindergarten is a Christian Early Childhood Centre that provides a stimulating holistic programme, encouraging an appreciation and understanding of biblical values.

Our programme is based on 'Te Whāriki', New Zealand's Early Childhood curriculum and reflects the Christian ethos of our centre.

We believe that each child is unique and reflects the image of God. We provide an environment where children can develop curiosity and creativity and feel safe and confident to explore the world around them, fostering a love for learning.

We aim to empower children to learn through building positive, reciprocal relationships within their worlds.

We recognise the treaty of Waitangi and acknowledge the dual cultural heritage of Aotearoa New Zealand and support children, families and teachers to become increasingly aware of our culturally diverse community. As we live in a multi-cultural society, we believe in guiding and facilitating children's learning in an inclusive environment.

Our teachers are committed to building genuine relationships with the tamariki and their families.

Tou rourou, toku rourou, ka ora te iwi.

With your contribution, and my contribution, we will thrive.
